Jenday Conures are a vibrantly colored bird form the Psittacidae family. They are close cousins of the Sun Conure and the Golden-capped Conure. These birds are fun loving and can be tamed very easily. This makes them the perfects pets for all bird lovers.
Jenday Conures are very social birds as they live in groups of ten or more. They are playful and very comical birds. Just like humans birds have their own personalities. Some birds are friendly to everyone and other are very territorial and are mean to anyone they are not familiar with. To keep your pet happy you need to distinguish what kind of personality your bird has.
Like most Jenday Conures many have a happy, friendly disposition. These kind of birds with play with anyone, are easy to tame, and will learn tricks very quickly. These birds are best for people who will play with them daily and will ensure that the bird remains happy and for people who have an upbeat, caring attitude.
Some Conures will be shy. These will tend to not eat for several days while they adjust to there new home. These birds will be slightly harder to train and will usually shy away from people until they are more used to them. This kind of bird can still be tamed with a little more work, but not preform tricks when being watched by unfamiliar people. These birds are best for people who have more time and are willing to wait a bit longer for their bird to calm down. They are also good for people who enjoy improving the lives of animals and other people.
There are some birds who are just plain disobedient. These bird are not particularly mean they just will not listen.In some cases the bird will only listen to a person of the opposite gender for some reason. They may still play but not much.These kind of bird have low hopes of being trained and almost none of performing tricks. Only people who are willing to spend most of their time on working on taming this bird should have this kind.
Then, the sad truth is that, there are birds who are just plain old nasty. These bird will refuse to do any thing. They are incredibly cruel to anyone. They, in most cases, can not be tamed. They will refuse to learn any tricks. They will bite and scratch anyone who comes near. These birds should not be bought by anyone who has any hope of ever interacting with their bird and should just be left alone if they are purchased from a store or breeder . Even with lots of treats and loving care these bird will always be mean.
Your bird’s personality should be a main factor when you decide which of the birds at the store or breeder you are going to purchase. Other you, your bird, and the other people in your home will be badly afflicted. If you have a happy fun loving bird and you do not pay attention to it then the bird will become sad.
if you have a bird who just wants to be alone and you keep trying to play with it it will get angry and might hurt you or its self. That is why the bird’s personality is so important.
